Cancellation Policy

Our aim is to provide fun, educational cookery classes. These are either held weekly or on a specific date. We know life can be unpredictable at times but out of respect for our staff and other students, we ask that you give us notice (see below for specific time periods) if you need to change your booking. Bookings can be changed via the phone or email.


Weekly Term Time Classes

When you book a term of classes, you are securing your child’s place on our weekly cookery classes for the whole term which is then no longer available to our other students. You are required to pay in full for the term (pro-rota if joining after the term has started). If you are unable to attend any class within the term please give at least 24 hours notice by phone or email. We have the following options for you if you are unable to attend a class;

  • Join an alternative class for that week (space permitting)

  • Offer your space to a friend or family member

  • Do not attend but still receive your recipe card and packaged dry ingredients to make the recipe at home

Please note: refunds are not given for missed weekly classes, even if we know in advance.


One-Off Classes

When you book a one-off class you are securing a place on a specific class which is then no longer available to our other students. You are required to pay in full at the time of booking. If you are unable to attend a class or would like to make changes to your booking we require at least 14 days notice. If you need to cancel your booking please phone, email or text at least 14 days before the start of the class. If you cancel at least 14 days before the start of the class you will receive a full refund. If you cancel within 14 days of the class start date you will only receive a full refund if we can fill your space on the class. 


Online Classes

When you book an online class you are securing a place in our virtual classroom (Zoom). If you are unable to attend a virtual class you can cancel your booking, with a full refund, up until 12 hours before the start of the class. If you notify us that you are unable to attend within 12 hours you will not receive a refund.


Parties/Events

When you book a party/event you are securing that date, and time, to hold your party/event which is then no longer available to our other customers. A £50 deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your party/event date, and time, with the remaining balance paid two weeks before the party/event date. If you need to cancel your booking please inform us via phone, email or text. Deposits/Payments will be refunded, in full, if cancellations are made at least 28 days prior to the party/event date. Refunds after this date will only be made if The Cookery Cabin can secure another booking for this date.

The Cookery Cabin at School

When you book The Cookery Cabin to attend your setting you are securing that date and time which is then no longer available to other schools. A £50 deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your booking with the remaining balance paid two weeks before the start date. If you need to cancel your booking please inform us via phone, email or text. Deposits will be refunded, in full, if cancellations are made at least 28 days prior to the start date. Refunds after this date will only be made if The Cookery Cabin can secure another booking for this date.


Extra Curricular Classes will follow the same cancellation policy as our Weekly Term Time Classes.
